What this policy covers

This policy applies to everything CraftShow Events publishes: event listings, state and city guides, guides for shoppers, vendors and organizers, and any statistics we report.

Facts must be traceable

Any statement about dates, prices, booth fees, attendance, vendor counts, application deadlines, venues, organizers, rankings or "largest/oldest/best" claims must come from one of three places:

1. a reliable source we can link to, such as the event's official website or a government publication;
2. information submitted by the event's organizer, labeled as such; or
3. our own event dataset, with the method explained.

We do not invent numbers to make a page look authoritative. If we cannot verify something, we leave it out or mark it as not provided.

Dates and recurring events

Events change dates, move venues and get cancelled. We never assume a recurring event will happen on the same weekend next year. Until a new date is confirmed, we describe when an event has typically been held and say that the next date has not been confirmed.

Guides and advice

Guides aim to give specific, practical answers first, followed by the reasoning and examples behind them. Advice that touches on taxes, permits or insurance is general information, not legal or tax advice; we link to the official source so you can confirm the rules where you sell.

We use software tools, including AI tools, to help research, organize and draft content. The standards on this page apply regardless of how a draft was produced.

Dates on pages

Event listings show when their information was last updated and, where applicable, when the source was last checked. Guides show when they were published and last updated.

Sponsors and independence

Sponsors do not decide which events are listed or how they are described. Links to sponsors are marked as sponsored.

When we get something wrong, we fix it and record significant corrections publicly. See corrections and how to report one.
